294-22 November 22, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Services for the decommission of Korwel Pump Station for new gravity sewer main; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering and land surveying firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated October 12, 2022 for these professional engineering and land surveying services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from five professional engineering and land surveying firms; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc., responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. have performed other work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated November 2, 2022 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to, Greenman-Pederson, Inc., 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 for Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the decommission of Korwel Pump Station for new gravity sewer; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2022; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Greenman- Pederson, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Greenman-Pederson, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for the decommission of Korwel Pump Station for new gravity sewer main in the amount of $35,300.00.
