WILLIAM D. REIMER, LLA, RLA Director of Landscape Architecture Professional Qualifications William Reimer is the Director of Landscape Architecture responsible for the design and oversight of all landscape architecture projects and services and serves as project manager for site planning and site engineering projects. With extensive experience in landscape architecture, site development, and construction management, Mr. Reimer has completed the design, planning, and construction management for numerous state, commercial, and institutional projects for clients that include the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He has designed parks, plazas, and largescale site plans for both residential and commercial developments. Professional Experience NJ Transit Roseville Tunnel and Track Bed Rehabilitation Design And Construction Services Andover & Byram Townships, NJ – assessed the tree species and tree canopy for the entire length of the project (approx. 8,000 LF) to determine in the project area was forested or not. Nellie Bennet Marsh Restoration, Pt. Pleasant, NJ– Landscape architect responsible for the design and development of drawings for the restoration of approximately 20 acres of salt marsh. The new marsh will include low marsh, high marsh, tidal pools and maritime forest areas. NYC Transit Broadway Mall, NY – Landscape Architect for the rehabilitation of subway ventilators on the Broadway Mall from 144th Street to 146th Street. Matrix provided an inventory of all trees, including their diameter and distance from the walkway. Provided the construction drawings for existing conditions and the proposed landscape design. The $3 million new park will include a dog park, a custom slide, tiered gathering spaces to provide multiple programming opportunities at the park and traffic calming to allow for safe access to the park from the surrounding communities. Feaster and Pittman Parks, New Brunswick, NJ – Project manager and lead Designer for the reconstruction of the parks. Public outreach was performed to gather input on what the community wanted to see in the park spaces. The $4 million new park includes a children’s playground for the adjacent school, outdoor classroom, two basketball courts, outdoor exercise area, open plaza spaces, outdoor game tables, community gardens, spray park, and Amphitheater for community activity space. NYCDEP Honk Falls Dam Restoration, Wawarsing, NY– Landscape architect responsible for the design and development of drawings for the stream restoration of Honk Lake after the removal of the former dam. During construction of the plantings provided direction on plant layout and reviewed the quality of pant material at the site. Welton Street Park, New Brunswick, NJ – Landscape Architect/Project Manager for the Welton Street Park project. The design includes spaces for community gathering, and educational and recreational activities for nearby schools. The park also includes a rain garden and pervious pavements, which will help reduce pressures on the existing stormwater infrastructure. Maywood Avenue Wetland Restoration, Maywood, NJ – Project manager and lead designer for the project. Matrix will be providing a monitoring report of the site for NJDEP for the next five years to ensure the success of the installed plant material.
