Encountered soils will be screened for the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using a calibrated photoionization detector (PID), assessed for visual and olfactory indications of contamination, and logged by CME personnel. In order to complete the delineation of the horizontal and vertical extents of soil contamination identified at the Site, soil samples will be collected at appropriate locations and intervals proximate to previous samples and will be submitted for appropriate analytical parameters based on the contaminants previously identified at each location/AOC. Final boring/sample locations will be determined in the field and will be surveyed using handheld GPS equipment.
