These design projects include: construction and/or reconstruction of roadways; intersection and traffic signal improvements; site plan layouts; sanitary sewer, storm sewer and potable water distribution system installation and improvements; and parks and recreation facilities. Specific responsibilities relative to the above mentioned projects include: initial site feasibility studies for design; design of roadway layouts including grading, vertical and horizontal curves, cross sections, and earthwork calculations; the design of storm drainage systems (TR55 and Rational Methods); design of sanitary sewer systems (capacity analysis and line sizing); design of potable water systems; preparation of soil erosion and sediment control plans; culvert, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses; and coordination, scheduling and filing of permit applications to County and State agencies. Duties also include construction administration for these projects, including shop drawing review.
