BERT C. WYNESS, PLS Surveying Professional Qualifications Bert (Bert) Wyness has more than 37 years of experience in the survey field and a prior eight years in the electrical and electronic engineering discipline. He is experienced in and knowledgeable of land survey techniques, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, geodetic control surveys, aerial photo control surveys, and writing of legal descriptions. Bert is also experienced in hydrographic and marine geophysical surveys, including multi-beam and single-beam survey collection and processing procedures, as well as side-scan, sub-bottom, and magnetometer survey collection and processing procedures. Bert Wyness is knowledgeable of survey standards and principles, project and department management relating to land and hydrographic survey missions, workflow, and logistic design. Professional Experience Jersey City Redevelopment Agency- Project Manager for surveying services in connection with the creation of the Courthouse Park to be located on the current site of the Hudson County Administration Building at 595 Newark Avenue in the City of Jersey City Estling Lake Dam Embankment Stabilization, Denville, NJ – Project management team member responsible for survey services including boundary surveys, topographic and utility surveys, and railroad surveys. Northeast Supply Enhancement: Williams Pipeline, NY & NJ – Responsible for the performance of geophysical surveys of a 23-mile proposed pipeline route from Morgan, NJ to Rockaway, NY. Responsibilities included the collection of all hydrographic and geophysical survey data and subsequent management of data processing workflow and delivery to client. PANYNJ Marine Terminals, NJ, and NY – Responsible for collection of hydrographic data at these facilities. As chief hydrographer on the survey vessel, charged with ensuring the correct procedural and technical processes are adhered to, and in the office, assisting in all aspects of final product delivery. Passaic River (Mouth to the Dundee Dam), USACE NY District, NJ – Responsible for supervising the necessary tasks to collect enough hydrographic data to ensure the success of restoring this part of the Passaic River to its original bathymetry.
