Jeremy’s education, training, and years of experience have developed expertise in all GIS technologies including analysis, visualization, database scripting for automation, data collection, mobile applications, data conversion, Web-based GIS, and spatial databases. Initially, his professional career was in the public sector, where he promoted digital data sharing and collaboration, as well as fostering relationships with all levels of public sector and a wide array of private sector disciplines. Recently, his focus has been on open-source Webbased application development (utilizing PHP, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Google & ESRI APIs). He is well-versed in creating high-end technical solutions that are economical and scalable. Prior work in city government has afforded Jeremy the opportunity to work with Police and Fire Departments, where he was trained in FEMA Incident Management and has implemented high-level crime analysis techniques to help reduce crime. Having served on many multi-jurisdictional committees and presented on various GIS topics at conferences, Jeremy is a highly respected and well-known member of the GIS community. Professional Experience Municipal Master Plan Services, Keyport, NJ – Provided GIS support for updating the Master Plan, including a Community Resilience Element, an element focusing on community resilience, hazard mitigation, and disaster recovery. Jeremy provided data research, management, and creation of layers based on aerial imagery, existing and historical data, and information received from the Borough, County, and State. North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) Passaic River Basin Climate Resilience Plan, NJ – Provided technical assistance to obtain, review, and edit background documentation and relevant GIS datasets. The datasets were used to develop a geospatial database of all transportation assets and emergency facilities for the region. Wrote python scripts to update Adaptation Strategies and Factors based on climate and storm conditions for transportation assets in the area. Off-Shore Wind Transmission Line Routing, Multiple Locations, NY & NJ – Serving as GIS Manager, for review and analyses of potential impacts of offshore wind cable
r transportation assets in the area. Off-Shore Wind Transmission Line Routing, Multiple Locations, NY & NJ – Serving as GIS Manager, for review and analyses of potential impacts of offshore wind cable landing sites, converter station site locations, and land routing to existing electric substations. Comparison of alternative projects and documentation of findings for use in responses to offshore wind solicitations by NJ Board of Public Utilities and NY State Energy Research & Development Authority. Included routings to minimize effects on areas of environmental sensitivity, restricted use, and cultural concern as well as to utilize existing public right of ways to avoid property transfer issues. Hera Power Link Article VII Permitting, Offshore Wind Transmission – GIS Manager working in concert with design team, engineers, permitting staff, and supporting preparation/submission of an Article VII Application. This effort included analysis of route options and identification of the preferred routes (land and submarine). We prepared supporting sitespecific studies and consulted with regulatory agencies. The subject of the application is an electric transmission project from the wind energy areas in the Atlantic Ocean to interconnection with New York Power Grid.
