Show all pagesMunicipal Waterfront Public Access Plan Bayonne, New Jersey PURPOSE OF CONTRACT Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) was retained by the City of Bayonne to prepare a plan to ensure residents long-term access to the waterfront. Industrial development occupied most of the City ‘s waterfront throughout the 20th Century; however, recent redevelopment in the City has created new opportunities for public access. The intent of the study is to provide a blueprint for development of future waterfront spaces that have a consistent and contiguous character, while taking advantage of the varying settings of the City environment. Analysis included property holdings, regulatory considerations, project costs, grant opportunities, and consistency with the City Master Plan.
