149-26 AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, made this 26th day of May, 2026 BETWEEN: Township of West Orange 66 Main Street West Orange, NJ 07052 Hereinafter referred to as the "Township” AND: Blau & Blau 233 Mountain Avenue Springfield, NJ 07081 Hereinafter referred to as the "Professional”. W I T N E S S E T H: WHEREAS, the Township recognizes the need for the services of a Tax Appeal Attorney; and WHEREAS, in that connection Blau & Blau is qualified to provide said services; and WHEREAS, the Township desires to engage Blau and Blau to serve as an “Independent Contractor” to provide professional services that may be designated by the Township as a fair and open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms, conditions and stipulations hereinafter set forth, it is mutually agreed by and between the parties: 1. WORK TO BE PERFORMED The Professional shall provide defense and litigation support services of all commercial property tax appeals filed against the Township before the Tax Court of New Jersey. (a) The Professional shall perform the services set forth above in addition to those set forth in the Township’s Request for Qualifications and in the Professional’s submission in response annexed hereto as Exhibit A. (b) The Professional shall, upon engagement and approval by the governing body of the Township, file and prosecute tax appeals (reverse appeals) for the Township Deleted: . 1
