TI. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES Any Ordinances of the Township which are in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Iv. SEVERABILITY If any part of this Ordinance shall be deemed invalid, such parts shall be severed and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this Ordinance. Vv. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication in accordance with the law. Ord. 2913-25 On motion made by Councilwoman Ghebremicael and seconded by Councilwoman Scarpa, An Ordinance Amending And Supplementing Chapter 7, Traffic, Subsections 7-32.1 Handicapped Parking On Streets, And 7-32.2 Restricted Parking Zones Of The Revised General Ordinances Of The Township Of West Orange, was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on April 22, 2025. All members present voting “Aye.” AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 7, TRAFFIC, SUBSECTIONS 7-32.1 HANDICAPPED PARKING ON STREETS, AND 7-32.2 RESTRICTED PARKING ZONES OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, State of New Jersey as follows: Section 1. Subsections 7-32.1, Handicapped Parking on Streets of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): 7-32.1 Handicapped Parking on Streets. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(2c) the following on- street location is designated as a handicapped parking place. Such spaces are for use by persons who have been issued special identification cards, plates, or placards by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, or a temporary placard issued by the Chief of Police. No other person shall be permitted to park in these places.
