SEAN M. SAVAGE, PE, LEED AP Civil Engineer / Director of Land Development Professional Qualifications Sean Savage serves as a Director of Land Development. Mr. Savage has more than 25 years of in-depth experience that includes a wide range of residential and commercial site design/layout, storm/sanitary sewer design, landfill construction management, landfill capping projects, landfill odor studies, sanitary sewer infiltration/inflow studies, a municipal sewage treatment plant expansion pilot study, field inspection, and permitting compliance. Responsibilities included the preparation of site plans for submission to City and NJDEP, stormwater management design, NJDEP flood hazard area (FHA) permitting, and will include obtaining City Planning Board and outside agency approvals including soil erosion, County, sanitary sewer and water main extension approvals. Also responsible for flood volume displacement calculations required for the NJDEP FHA application. Mr. Savage also coordinated with the client’s architect as needed to complete the design documents. Heritage Village at Wall, Wall Township, NJ – Mr. Savage provided project management and engineering design services for this development consisting of 152 senior affordable residential units located within a 3-story building. Design services included preparation of site plans, site grading, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer connections, and lighting. He also was responsible for grading design and updating drainage report. Mr. Savage was involved in the redesign of grading after building layout changes. He coordinated with client and architect on plan revisions. Middletown Senior Housing, Middletown, NJ – Mr. Savage was Responsible for site grading, sanitary/drainage sewer design, stormwater detention basin design, and preparation of drainage report. He was also responsible for general site plan preparations. The scope of services included peer review of design plans prepared by another consultant and preparation of applications for zoning permit, site work permit and building permits. Ridgefield Warehouse Development, Ridgefield, NJ – Mr. Savage provided project management, professional testimony, and engineering design services for this approximately 350,000 SF warehouse development. Responsible for preparation of site plans, stormwater management design and obtaining Township and outside agency approvals including soil erosion, NJDEP flood hazard area permitting, NJDEP water main extension, NJDEP treatment works approval, SUEZ water company and County. BARTHOLOMEW C. WYNESS, PLS, CH Survey Department Manager Professional Qualifications Bartholomew (Bert) Wyness has more than 37 years of experience in the survey field and a prior eight years in the electrical and electronic engineering discipline. He is experienced in and knowledgeable of land survey techniques, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, geodetic control surveys, aerial photo control surveys, and writing of legal descriptions. Mr. Wyness is also experienced in hydrographic and marine geophysical surveys, including multi-beam and single-beam survey collection and processing procedures, as well as side-scan, sub-bottom, and magnetometer survey collection and processing procedures. Bert Wyness is knowledgeable of survey standards and principles, project and department management relating to land and hydrographic survey missions, workflow, and logistic design. Professional Experience Estling Lake Dam Embankment Stabilization, Denville Township, NJ – Project management team member responsible for survey services including boundary surveys, topographic and utility surveys, and railroad surveys. Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS), USACE NY District, NJ – Chief Hydrographer responsible for the survey of 15 square miles utilizing multibeam technology. The offshore survey was run around the clock, weather and fuel permitting. A submersible gauge was set and buoyed on the seafloor. Sound velocity profiles were collected at a maximum of three hours. Passaic River (Mouth to the Dundee Dam), USACE NY District, NJ – Responsible for supervising the necessary tasks to collect enough hydrographic data to ensure the success of restoring this part of the Passaic River to its original bathymetry. The water depth of the project area ranged from 0ft to 30ft, with three survey vessels used to accommodate the various river depths. REIMER, LLA, RLA Director of Landscape Architecture Professional Qualifications William Reimer is the Director of Landscape Architecture responsible for the design and oversight of all landscape architecture projects and services and serves as project manager for site planning and site engineering projects. With extensive experience in landscape architecture, site development, and construction management, Mr. Reimer has completed the design, planning, and construction management for numerous state, commercial, and institutional projects for clients that include the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. NYCDEP Honk Falls Dam Restoration, Wawarsing, NY– Landscape architect responsible for the design and development of drawings for the stream restoration of Honk Lake after the removal of the former dam. During construction of the plantings provided direction on plant layout and reviewed the quality of pant material at the site. Welton Street Park, New Brunswick, NJ – Landscape Architect/Project Manager for the Welton Street Park project. The design includes spaces for community gathering, and educational and recreational activities for nearby schools. The park also includes a rain garden and pervious pavements, which will help reduce pressures on the existing stormwater infrastructure. Maywood Avenue Wetland Restoration, Maywood, NJ – Project manager and lead designer for the project. Matrix will be providing a monitoring report of the site for NJDEP for the next five years to ensure the success of the installed plant material.
