2-25 January 6, 2025 RESOLUTION Resolution To Authorize The Repair Of Fire Sprinklers At Various Township Owned Buildings Through The Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council (MCCPC) Cooperative Contract # MCCPC #52 WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works (DPW) needs to repair the sprinkler system at various township owned buildings for the safety of the employees and visitors; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality; and WHEREAS, the Township as a member of the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council (MCCPC) cooperative the township can utilize the cooperative contracts with the following Company see Exhibit “A” annexed hereto for cost detail City Fire dba Encore Fire Protection $30,846.86; and WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent is requesting an additional $2500.00 for incidentals which will only be used if needed, and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the West Orange Township Council the following: The Township Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the Township and a purchase order issued. The Township’s Chief Financial Officer certifies sufficient funds are available for said procurement in the amount not to exceed of $33,346.86 Karen J.
