185-25 September 8, 2025 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RENTAL OF SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT TO BE USED FOR THE LEAF AND SNOW COLLECTION SEASONS 2025-2026 THROUGH STATE CONTRACT # GS-21F-0020T WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (“Township”) must rent equipment for the leaf and snow season November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, Herc Rentals Inc. 27500 Riverview Center Blvd., Bonita Springs, FL 34134 for needed equipment rental for the amount of $81,005.00 (see Exhibit “A”). WHEREAS, Herc Rentals Inc, also charges a mileage fee of $.25 per mile as an additional cost for rental, not to exceed $500.00 (see Exhibit “A”) NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order not to exceed for $81,505.00 to Herc Rentals Inc. with funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer.
