Patrick Alexander Senior Designer Site Civil Engineering & Landscape Architecture Education SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry: Bachelor of Landscape Architecture/2018 Affiliations American Society of Landscape Architects Sigma Lambda Alpha Landscape Architecture Honor Society Mr. Alexander joined PS&S in August 2018 as a landscape architecture designer with the company’s Site Civil Engineering department. Mr. Alexander’s responsibilities include conceptual design, project research, technical drafting of landscape and lighting construction documents, 3D rendering and visualization, takeoffs and cost estimates, design detailing, and project presentation design. A selection of landscape design interventions with which he has professional experience covers both residential planting and commercial site landscape/hardscape design. Prior educational experience includes green belt planning, cultural landscape analysis, and designing for urban floodway sites. Relevant Experience County of Essex, Independence Park – Newark, NJ: Provided landscape architectural design support for the addition of new soccer and softball fields to an existing Olmsted Brother’s Park in Newark’s Ironbound district. New Building and Site Improvements at Independence Park – Newark, NJ: The Independence Park Improvements consists of the development of a new community building and re-establishing the community grove area, all located within the existing Independence Park. The site improvements provide vehicular and pedestrian directly from Adams Street as well as pedestrian access to the east by connecting the proposed sidewalks to the existing. Passaic County, Rifle Camp Park Amphitheater Improvements – Woodland Park, NJ: Redesign of an existing amphitheater within a 225-acre Passaic County Park. Coordinated the specification of the canopy structure and stage design and provided landscape and lighting plans for the areas of improvement. Trenton Battle Monument – Trenton, NJ: PS&S landscape architects, cultural resources staff and survey team recently supported R. A Sebring Architects in designing and gaining approvals for a program of plantings and other improvements to help revitalize this aging monument in downtown Trenton. The monument is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located atop an 18th century archaeological site, so our team needed to

lp revitalize this aging monument in downtown Trenton. The monument is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located atop an 18th century archaeological site, so our team needed to carefully consider effects on both above and below-ground historic resources. Our landscape architects approached the project using a light touch and focused on plantings that would require only shallow installation. By minimizing potential impacts to the monument, the archaeological site and surrounding historic districts, the team was able to design around all of the issues. In December our team won unconditional approval from the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office for this project. Village of Westbury, Westbury Downtown Revitalization – Westbury, NY: Streetscape improvement landscape and lighting design for two main roadways through downtown Westbury. Hardscape improvements including new cast iron tree pits and planter boxes were proposed to beautify the Village’s business district. www.psands.com
