NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PREVAILING WAGE RATE DETERMINATION County - ESSEX SERVICE (repair or replacement of parts for the purpose of maintaining elevator equipment in good operating condition): - The regular workday consists of 8 hours, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. - Overtime: Hours in excess of 8 per day, or before or after the regular workday, Monday through Friday, and all hours on Saturday shall be paid at time and one-half the hourly rate. All hours on Sunday and holidays shall be paid at double the hourly rate. RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS (Modernization and Service): New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day. FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS: - When there are 4 or more Glaziers on a job, 1 must be designated a Foreman. - When there are 15 or more Glaziers on a job, 1 must be designated a General Foreman. SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS: - The second shift shall receive an additional 10% of the hourly rate, per hour, and the third shift shall receive an additional 15% of the hourly rate, per hour. - When 3 shifts are worked, the second shift shall receive 8 hours pay for 7.5 hours of work, and the third shift shall receive 8 hours pay for 7 hours of work.
