No separate payment shall be made for WATER AND GAS VALVE BOX RESETS. 401.04 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT THIS SUBSECTION IS CHANGED TO: The Township will measure and make payment for Items as follows: Item Pay Unit HMA MILLING, 3” OR LESS SQUARE YARD HOT MIX ASPHALT 9.5M64 SURFACE COURSE, 2” THICK TON HOT MIX ASPHALT 19M64 BASE COURSE, 4” THICK (IF AND WHERE DIRECTED) TON The Contractor is required to prepare the existing pavement and seal all cracks and joints per the current section for hot mix asphalt of the NJDOT specifications prior to resurfacing. This work shall include, but not limited to, all labor, materials and equipment necessary to clean cracks prior to the installation of surface course and apply a sealant as outlined in the NJDOT specification. Prior to commencement, the contractor shall obtain approval from the professional engineer as to the intended methods and materials that will be used for this project. This item shall not be measured for payment and included in the unit price bids for the hot mix asphalt surface course item. 30
