TERRITORY ~ NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT — ENTIRE STATE PREVAILING WAGE RATE DETERMINATION TEST BORING PRELIMINARY TO CONSTRUCTION-NORTH Rates Expiration Date : THESE RATES APPLY IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ONLY: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Union SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: Employees on a shift other than between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM shall receive an additional $2.00 per hour. OVERTIME: Hours in excess of 8 per day, Monday through Friday, and all hours on Saturday shall be paid at time and one-half the regular rate. All hours on Sundays and holidays shall be paid at double the regular rate. RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Sunday holidays observed the following Monday. Hazardous Waste Pay (for Levels A, B, and C): an additional 15% of the hourly rate, per hour. Anewly hired Helper with no experience in the industry shall be paid as follows: 1st year on the job - 70% of Helper wage rate 2nd year on the job - 80% of Helper wage rate 3rd year on the job - 90% of Helper wage rate All helpers receive full fringe benefit rate.
