1 Conference Meeting – December 20, 2016 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, and 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:46 p.m. Karen J. Carnevale, Municipal Clerk, read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Public Law, 1975. A notice of this meeting was emailed to the Star Ledger and the West Orange Chronicle on October 14, 2015. Roll Call: Present: Councilwoman Casalino, Councilman Guarino, Councilman Krakoviak, Councilwoman McCartney, Council President Cirilo and Mayor Parisi. Nominations for the new Council President were made. Councilwoman Casalino nominated Joe Krakoviak seconded by Councilwoman McCartney. A roll call vote was taken. All members voted “Aye.” The motion was carried for Councilman Krakoviak to serve as the 2017 Council President. The Council selected liaisons to serve on the following Boards: Planning Board-Susan McCartney, Local Assistance Board – Michelle Casalino, ERSCHA (Degnan House)-Victor Cirilo, WOSCHA (John P. Renna House) – Jerry Guarino, Downtown West Orange Alliance- Jerry Guarino, West Orange Municipal Alliance Committee-Michelle Casalino, West Orange Arts Council-Susan McCartney, Open Space and Recreation Committee-Joe Krakoviak, Public Relations Commission-Michelle Casalino, Joint Meeting Commission (2 year term) -Jerry Guarino and the Insurance Fund Commission (2 year term) -Victor Cirilo and Jerry Guarino. Jack Sayers gave an update on the Redevelopment on Main Street.
