1 Conference Meeting – January 3, 2017 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, and 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:42 p.m. Karen J. Carnevale, Municipal Clerk, read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 28, 2016 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 8, 2016. Roll Call: Present: Councilwoman Casalino, Councilman Guarino, Councilman Krakoviak, Councilwoman McCartney, Council President Cirilo and Mayor Parisi. The Clerk stated that the recessed meeting of December 20, 2016 that was to continue tonight was recessed until January 17, 2017. The Oaths of Office were administered to Councilwoman Michelle Casalino by Assemblyman John F. McKeon, to Councilman Jerry Guarino by Mayor Robert D. Parisi and to Council President Joe Krakoviak by the Honorable Harry Starrett, Former Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of West Orange. Council President Krakoviak presented a plaque to outgoing Council President Victor Cirilo and Councilman Cirilo presented incoming Council President Krakoviak with a personalized gavel. Jack Sayers gave an update on the Redevelopment on Main Street.
