1 Conference Meeting – January 17, 2017 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, and 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:39 p.m. Karen J. Carnevale, Municipal Clerk, read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 28, 2016 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 8, 2016. Roll Call: Present: Councilwoman Casalino, Councilman Cirilo, Councilman Guarino, Councilwoman McCartney and Council President Krakoviak. A presentation and public hearing was conducted by Bill Kehoe, Director of Parks and Recreation regarding the Multi Park Development/Improvements at Degnan and Lafayette Park(s). Mr. Kehoe explained the project to the Council and stated that it has received the support of the Open Space and Recreation Committee, the West Orange Hispanic Foundation represented by Mr. Rodolfo Rodriguez, the Mountain Top League represented by Mr. Peter Scalora, President, the WO PAL represented by Mr. Lou DePasquale and Mr. Joel Trose, Coach of the West Orange High School Girls Softball. Mr. Kehoe also said that other agencies in the community were in support of the project but did not attend the meeting this evening. The Council asked questions at this time of Mr. Kehoe and Mr. Gross and expressed support of the project. No one else wished to speak at this time. Jack Sayers gave an update on the Redevelopment on Main Street.
