1 Conference Meeting – January 8, 2019 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:34 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on September 26, 2018 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on October 4, 2018. The Oaths of Office were given at this time in the following order: Mayor Robert D. Parisi, oath administered by Richard D. Trenk, Esq., Councilwoman Susan McCartney, oath administered by Richard D. Trenk, Esq., assisted by Assemblyman John F. McKeon, Councilwoman Cindy Matute-Brown, oath administered by Stephen D. Brown, Esq. and Council President Jerry Guarino, oath administered by Mayor Robert D. Parisi. At this time, Council President Guarino, on behalf of the Township Council presented a plaque to Councilwoman McCartney for her service as 2018 Council President.
