5 On motion made by Council President Guarino and seconded by Councilwoman McCartney, the above referenced ordinance was approved. All members present voting “Aye.” Ordinances on First Reading Ordinance 2592-19 On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman Matute-Brown, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 2, Sections 6.6 and 6.7 and Chapter 15, Section 2.9 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange (Database of Residents in Need of Special Assistance) was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on December 17, 2019. All members present voting “Aye”. Ordinance 2593-19-approved earlier in the meeting. Ordinance 2594-19 On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Council President Guarino, An Ordinance Creating a Reclassification and Salary Schedule of Certain Township of West Orange Employees Setting Forth Their Titles, Classification and Salary Ranges and Adopting a Salary Guide and Establishing the Employee’s Status as a Township Employee Under the Guidelines of the New Jersey Department of Personnel was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on December 17, 2019. All members present voting “Aye”. Pending Matters/New Matters/Council Discussion The Council discussed a potential ordinance that would extend the ABC hours. Councilwoman Matute-Brown stated that she had a conference call with Mark Moon, Esq. and Police Chief Abbott and relayed that the Chief could arrange a tour of a medical marijuana dispensary in Secaucus if they wanted.
