1 Conference Meeting – December 15, 2020 The West Orange Township Council met virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic beginning at 6:07 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on October 31, 2019 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on November 7, 2019. On November 25, 2020 a 48 hour notice was sent to the West Orange Chronicle and the Star Ledger indicating that the Conference meeting would begin at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call – Councilman Guarino, Councilman Krakoviak, Councilwoman Matute-Brown, Councilwoman McCartney, Council President Casalino A presentation about the Street Smart New Jersey Pedestrian Campaign was given by Councilman Guarino, West Orange School District Superintendent Dr. Scott Cascone, West Orange Police Department Traffic Bureau Patrolman Scott Smarsh, Will Yarzab, Street Smart NJ Coordinator-North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Zachary Calle, Assistant Coordinator-EZ Ride – Bike & Pedestrian Safety Programs and Lisa Lee, Deputy Director-EZ Ride – Bike & Pedestrian Safety Programs. Jack Sayers, Business Administrator gave a brief status on Redevelopment in the Township. The Council gave their liaison announcements.
