1 Conference Meeting – January 5, 2021 The West Orange Township Council met virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic beginning at 6:33 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 30, 2020, and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 10, 2020. Roll Call – Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman McCartney, Councilman Rutherford, Councilwoman Williams, Council President Matute-Brown, Mayor Parisi On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman McCartney, Councilwoman Cindy Matute- Brown was nominated as the 2021 Council President. All members voting “Aye.” Council President’s Oath of Office was administered by her husband, Stephen Brown, Esq. The Oaths of Office was administered to Councilwoman Michelle Casalino by Assemblyman John McKeon, to Councilwoman Tammy Williams by Assemblywoman Mila Jasey and to Councilman Bill Rutherford by Councilman John McKeon. Mayor Parisi offered his congratulations to each of the Council members.
