Show all pagesAfter a discussion of the Council, and on motion made by Councilman Rutherford and seconded by Council President Matute-Brown, the above referenced ordinance was tabled. Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman McCartney, Councilman Rutherford and Council President Matute-Brown voting “Aye.” Councilwoman Williams voting “Nay.” Ordinance 2632-21 On motion made by Councilwoman McCartney and seconded by Councilwoman Matute-Brown, An Ordinance of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, State of New Jersey, Adopting a Redevelopment Plan Relating to the Executive Drive-Rooney Circle Redevelopment Area was taken up on second and final reading. Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman McCartney, Councilwoman Williams and Council President Matute-Brown voting “Aye.” Councilman Rutherford voting “Nay.” The Council President stated that this is the scheduled time for the public hearing and asked the Clerk to read the ordinance by title only. The Council President asked if there was anyone who wished to be heard. There was no one who wished to be heard and public comment was closed. On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman Williams, the above referenced ordinance was approved. Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman McCartney, Councilwoman Williams and Council President Matute-Brown voting “Aye.” Councilman Rutherford voting “Nay.” Ordinance 2633-21 On motion made by Councilwoman Casalino and seconded by Councilwoman McCartney, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 15, “Rent Control”, Section 15-3, “Rent Leveling Board”; Subsection 15-3.1, “Rent Leveling Board; Creation; Organization”, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange, to Add a Council Liaison to the Rent Leveling Board’s Membership was taken up on second and final reading. All members voting “Aye.” The Council President stated that this is the scheduled time for the public hearing and asked the Clerk to read the ordinance by title only.
