Show all pages49 (Pages 190 to 193) Page 190 1 the building, so we've scaled off a couple of 2 dimensions along -- from the top corner of the 3 building, so I'm kind of starting back over -- 4 please don't zoom in. 5 MR. FAGAN: Sorry. 6 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Well, on the first 7 floor where you can't walk out. You have it on one 8 of the diagrams. 9 MR. APPEL: Okay, so let me go back to 10 here. So we can come from this corner starting over 11 here, about 25 feet to the ridge, then it's going to 12 -- as you come around the side of the building, it 13 will go up to about 85 feet, then to about 66 feet, 14 and then to about 24 feet. 15 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: So when you come 16 right over here, is that a walk-out? 17 MR. APPEL: About 24 feet to the 18 ridge. 19 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Is that a path for 20 people to walk out and sit on or -- 21 MR. APPEL: Can you -- 22 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: -- what is it? 23 MR. APPEL: -- zoom in over there? 24 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Yeah. 25 MR. APPEL: We created a placeholder. Page 191 1 Can you zoom in on this area here (indicating)? 2 So we've created an outdoor space 3 behind the gym over here, so -- 4 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: And how far is that 5 from the ridgeline? 6 MR. APPEL: If this is about 20 feet 7 deep, you are probably about maybe anywhere between 8 four and six feet from the ridgeline. 9 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Okay. 10 MR. AFRAN: What was that last number? 11 I'm sorry. 12 MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC: Four and six 13 feet. 14 MR. APPEL: And then as you continue 15 around the building, it goes back up to about 43 16 feet and then at this corner, that's the tightest 17 pinch point, which is about seven feet to the ridge 18 and then opens up to 32 and about 40 feet over here 19 (indicating). And that's a product of the building 20 moves and the ridgeline is not a straight line, it's 21 all -- 22 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Sure. 23 MR. APPEL: -- carved all over the 24 place. 25 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Now, is there going Page 192 1 to be pavement back there, trees, because that's the 2 area where, we heard testimony, firefighters are 3 going to drag a hose or medics may drag a stretcher. 4 MR. APPEL: I don't believe there's 5 landscaping along the base of the building at the 6 rear. 7 MR. ANDERSON: Not at this time. 8 MR. APPEL: Yeah. So I think it's -- 9 it's open. 10 MR. KLEIN: The green wall is in 11 spots. Go -- go to the back of the building 12 elevation again. That's what we're talking
ON: Not at this time. 8 MR. APPEL: Yeah. So I think it's -- 9 it's open. 10 MR. KLEIN: The green wall is in 11 spots. Go -- go to the back of the building 12 elevation again. That's what we're talking about, 13 right? 14 MR. APPEL: No, we were not looking at 15 this building. 16 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: They didn't talk 17 about this part of the building. They talked about 18 louvers in front of the building for the garage. 19 MR. KLEIN: Oh, the one where it 20 undulates down, that's not D, that's not the back of 21 D? 22 MR. APPEL: No, this was -- this was 23 -- this was -- 24 MR. KLEIN: That's the back of D 25 there? No. Page 193 1 MR. APPEL: This is the building that 2 we were -- 3 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: That's the front of 4 the building, facing the driveway. 5 MR. APPEL: This is -- 6 MR. KLEIN: That gym patio doesn't 7 face the driveway, that faces the ridge. 8 MR. APPEL: This is Building A. 9 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: I'm talking about 10 Building B. Where you're getting close to the 11 ridgeline is a gym patio and I asked how far was 12 that from the ridgeline, it's four feet. 13 MR. KLEIN: It's less because it's 14 like a 30-foot-deep patio -- 15 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Right. 16 MR. KLEIN: -- so it's right up to the 17 edge. And that's -- so where is it? So it's down 18 here on the left? No, that's the front. 19 MR. APPEL: This is the -- 20 MR. KLEIN: This is the lobby, right? 21 MR. APPEL: It is -- oop. East side. 22 MR. KLEIN: That's east side, okay. 23 MR. APPEL: Yup. 24 MR. KLEIN: So then down here -- yup, 25 down there, that's the patio?
