50 (Pages 194 to 197) Page 194 1 MR. APPEL: Correct, that's the patio 2 right here (indicating). Gym beyond. This is not 3 the elevation that we were putting the green wall 4 on. 5 MR. KLEIN: Okay. 6 MR. ALPER: And is the term 7 "ridgeline" being used to mean the actual crest of 8 the hill or the "Do not build past this line" line? 9 MR. APPEL: Whenever we use the term 10 "ridgeline," it's that line that was established by 11 the town. 12 MR. ALPER: That's what I thought. Do 13 we know the distance to the actual top of the hill? 14 MR. APPEL: I don't -- I don't -- I 15 couldn't correlate, like, where the topo lines -- 16 MR. ALPER: Okay. 17 MR. APPEL: -- relate to that. 18 MR. ALPER: But it's not the case that 19 we're six feet from the top of the hill at any 20 point. 21 MR. APPEL: No, the only thing that I 22 can tell you with -- like, this is taken from all of 23 the actual grades, when we did these sections, so 24 you can kind of see how, you know, where all of this 25 kind of, you know, you have this kind of flat spot Page 195 1 and it doesn't get really steep till you're all the 2 way back over here. 3 MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC: It's pretty 4 steep at the top. 5 MR. KLEIN: It depends where you take 6 the slice. 7 MR. APPEL: Correct. 8 MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC: You're under 9 oath. 10 MR. ALPER: It would be useful to know 11 -- it would be useful to know the actual closest 12 distance to the point where it becomes a problem if 13 it's the top of the hill -- probably both, but if 14 it's the top of the hill and where the slope gets 15 beyond a certain percentage of slope. It's 16 important to know how far it is from the actual line 17 of the plants too. That six feet number's not 18 unimportant, but I would want to know how many feet 19 we are from the top and from -- at whatever point 20 the slope becomes technically steeper. 21 MR. ANDERSON: May I? 22 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Mr. Anderson. 23 MR. ANDERSON: Thank you. 24 So at that pinch point where it's seven 25 feet, there -- your slope ordinance, which does Page 196 1 apply -- 2 MR. KLEIN: Get closer to the mic. 3 MR. ANDERSON: I'm trying. 4 MR. ALPER: I understand it doesn't. 5 (Multiple speakers at once) 6 MR. ALPER: I understand it doesn't 7 apply, but I'd like it -- 8 MR. ANDERSON: So -- 9 MR. ALPER: -- to be used -- 10 MR. ANDERSON: So -- 11 MR. ALPER: -- as an existing 12 definition. 13 MR. ANDERSON: So your

: I understand it doesn't 7 apply, but I'd like it -- 8 MR. ANDERSON: So -- 9 MR. ALPER: -- to be used -- 10 MR. ANDERSON: So -- 11 MR. ALPER: -- as an existing 12 definition. 13 MR. ANDERSON: So your slope ordinance 14 starts regulating slopes at 10 percent. Okay? The 15 10 percent point starts about 20 feet off of that 16 corner. 17 MR. ALPER: From the tightest -- 18 MR. ANDERSON: From the tightest 19 point. 20 MR. ALPER: Thank you. 21 MR. PLOCKER: Thanks, Paul. 22 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Will there be 23 wayfaring signs throughout the complex, "Go this 24 way," "Go that way," "Building A," "Building B," 25 "Park here"? Page 197 1 MR. APPEL: Not -- oh, I'm sorry. Not 2 part of the application now, but my understanding is 3 that there would be and should be wayfaring signs. 4 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Would you consider 5 using solar-powered wayfaring signs? 6 MR. APPEL: That could be a reasonable 7 solution. 8 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: And the birds, we'll 9 talk about another time. 10 Mr. Hess. 11 MR. HESS: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I 12 have -- Mr. Appel, I have two questions for you. 13 The first is, you spoke about the visitor -- the 14 parking spaces for Building D and that they would be 15 assigned, then you're going to have the visitor 16 spaces. Are the visitor spaces going to be marked 17 for visitors or are they also open to other tenants 18 who may want to have a second vehicle? 19 MR. APPEL: What is proposed right now 20 is that you have assigned stalls -- 21 MR. HESS: Right. 22 MR. APPEL: -- for each unit, and in 23 addition to the signed stalls for each unit, the 24 remainder of the stalls are shared and they will 25 accommodate the .5 stalls per unit for -- for
