LEGAL NOTICE Township Of West Orange Planning Board PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on October 9, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. the Planning Board of the Township of West Orange (the "Planning Board" or the " Board ") will hold a remote public hearing, pursuant to the instructions set forth below, in connection with property located at 17 Fairway Avenue, which property is designated as Block 179.03 Lot 9 on the West Orange Tax Maps (hereinafter referred to as the “Property”). The property is located in the R-6 Residential Zoning District of the Township of West Orange. The Applicant, the Estate of Rita Berman, has applied to the planning board for Minor Subdivision Approval to subdivide the Property into two lots. The existing single-family dwelling fronting on Fairway Avenue will be retained. In connection with the proposed subdivision, the Applicant has also applied for a variance from West Orange Zoning Ordinance Section 25-7.1, Part B, to permit a rear yard setback of 17.94 feet for one of the subdivided lots whereas the ordinance requires a minimum rear yard setback of 30 feet. The Applicant also requests any other variances, approvals, waivers or exceptions that may be required or are determined to be required in connection with this application. Instructions to Join Remote Hearing: The remote public hearing is being held in lieu of an in-person public hearing and will be held by remote access only. During the hearing, any interested party, directly or by attorney, will have an opportunity to view the hearing in its entirety, and be heard (ask questions, provide comments or offer evidence).
