Show all pagesTOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE PLANNING BOARD NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS To: All property owners and other entities entitled to notice within a 200-foot radius of property located at 350 Mount Pleasant Avenue, and designated as Block 156, Lot | on the Tax Maps of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey. Notice is hereby served upon you that on December 4, 2024 at 7:30 p.m., the Planning Board of the Township of West Orange (the “Planning Board” or the “Board”) will hold a remote public hearing, pursuant to the instructions set forth below, in connection with property located at 350 Mount Pleasant Avenue, which property is designated as Block 156, Lot | on the Tax Maps of the Township of West Orange (the “Property”). The Property measures approximately 176.83 acres in area and is located in the R-2 Zoning District of the Township. The Property is currently developed with an existing golf course, clubhouse, pool house building, swimming pool, tennis courts and a number of other accessory structures. In connection with the subject application, the Essex County Country Club (the “Applicant”), has applied to the Planning Board for site plan approval in order to renovate the existing pool house building, and to construct an open-air pavilion with a bar seating area to be attached to the pool house as well as a covered pergola with tables and chairs. In connection with the pool house renovation and construction of the open-air pavilion the Applicant requests variance relief to deviate from Township Code Section 25-8.1f to exceed the maximum permissible height for accessory structures located in a residential zone of 15 feet whereas the existing pool house building is 15.5 feet, and the renovated pool house building is proposed at 17.2 feet with the open-air pavilion proposed at 17.83 feet. The Applicant also proposes associated improvements, including but not limited to expanded paver and walkway areas, grill area, fencing and landscaping. For the avoidance of doubt, the Applicant intends to continue to sell alcohol beverages from the premises. The Applicant further requests that the Board grant any additional approvals, permits, variances, interpretations, waivers or exceptions reflected in the plans and materials filed (as same may be amended or revised from time to time without further notice) or determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the

Instructions to Join Remote Hearing The remote public hearing is being held in lieu of an in-person public hearing and will be held by remote access only. During the hearing, any interested party, directly or by attorney, will have an opportunity to view the hearing in its entirety, and be heard (ask questions, provide comments or offer evidence). Members of the public will be provided with instructions during the meeting on how to participate. You may participate in the hearing on the scheduled date and time through the web via the Zoom video conference platform or by telephone by using the following options set forth below.
