urtenances, in the manner aforesaid, only upos his, or their paying, at the outset, to the ‘said parties of the second part, their beirs and assigns, successors in these trusts, the sum of One Hundred Dollars for each and every acre of the said lands and premises so purchased, and, afterwards, of such annual taxes oc assessments as may be imposed in the manner and foe the purposes sforesaid and at the same rates for the fractional part of an acre; and also that, until the first one hundred and seventy-five acres of the said lands and premises shall have been 20 sold and conveyed, he, the said Llewellyn S. Haskell, his heirs, executors or administrators, shall and will pay, of cause to be paid, all such annual taxes o¢ assessments upon the same, oF upon such portion thereof as may remain unsold and unconveyed at the time of any annual meet- ing on the said second Monday in January, as might have been imposed thereon if the same had been 10 sold and conveyed; it being expressly understood and agrecd by and between the par-

Haskell, his heirs, executors of administrators, thall never be required to pay any annual tax or auecssment upon a greater number of acres than twenty acres, in addition to the one hundred and seventy-five acres last mentioned. BLAKE, JR., a Master of the Court of Chancery of said State, personally appeared LLEWELLYN S. HAS- KELL and MARY ANNA, his wife, and AUGUS- TUS O, MOORE, THOMAS B. MERRICK and EDWIN C. BURT, who I am satisfied, are the parties in the foregoing Deed of Conveyance named, and, 1 having first made known to them the contents thereof, they severally acknowledged that they signed, sealed and delivered the xine as their voluntary act and deed, for the uses rad purposes therein expressed. And the sid MARY ANNA, being by me pri- vately examined, separate and apart from her husband, further acknowledged that she signed, sealed and delivered the same as her voluatacy act and deed, freely, without any fear, threats or compulsion of her said husband, JNO.
