This requires variances due to the rear yard set back requirement of 50 feet and a natural state buffer of 50 feet. When Normandie Estates was originally approved for development in 1986, no variances were required and balconies were permitted to extend at the rear of the townhouses. At this time, the condominium associates wishes to apply for an amended site plan to reduce the rear yard set back for 17 specific units so that these decks can be extended by five feet.
