Tree Removal, Replacement, and Extension of Time to Replant: The Application proposes the limited removal of five (5) additional trees in the 6-inch to 13-inch D.B.H. category. In connection with that limited tree work, Applicant proposes 10 replacement trees, identified as 10 Thuja Green Giants, to be planted within a rear parking lot island. The Applicant also requests an extension of time to complete replanting in coordination with completion of the associated approved site work and the next appropriate planting season. The Township’s Tree Protection, Removal and Replacement Ordinance permits the Planning Board to grant the requested extension under § 28- 8. Summary of Requested Approvals: Accordingly, the Applicant seeks amended preliminary and final major site plan approval, stormwater permit approval, soil movement / soil removal permit approval, tree removal and replacement approval, and an extension of time to complete tree replanting under the Prior Approval. As shown on the submitted amended civil site plans, no new variance relief is required hereunder. In addition to the above stated approvals, Applicant seeks any and all variances, design exceptions, waivers, modifications of prior approvals or any other approvals as may be determined to be required during the Board’s review of this Application. Justification for Requested Waivers from Submission Checklist Requirements: Applicant seeks waivers from the following required Site Plan Checklist Items: • Item 46 (Solid waste management plan): a solid waste management plan was previously approved and, to the extent the Board requires an update, Applicant will provide one. • Item 52 (COAH Compliance): To the extent that any non-residential development fees are determined to be applicable for this development, Applicant will supply same to the Township Tax Department prior to the issuance of an occupancy certificate relative to the proposed improvements. Applicant reserves it’s right to supplement the submitted application materials via both additional submissions and professional testimony at the public hearing before the Board.
