Show all pages120-13 June 11, 2013 RESOLUTION WHEREAS , the Township of West Orange advertised for bids pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1 et seq) for Lighting Improvements, West Orange High School, Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field, Conforti Avenue and Carteret Street; and WHEREAS , at the date, time and place advertised for the opening of said bids, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the West Orange Municipal Building, the Township did receive three (3) bids; and WHEREAS , the Bid Documents contained a Base Bid and three Alternates No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3; and WHEREAS , the Base Bid was the cost for providing and installing all equipment to maintain a lighting level of 50 footcandles across the field; and WHEREAS , Alternate No. 2 was a deduction from the Base Bid should the Township provide equipment as manufactured by Musco Sports Lighting, LLC of Oskaloosa, Iowa to maintain a lighting level of 50 footcandles across the field; and WHEREAS , Alternate No. 1 and Alternate No. 3 were similar to the Base Bid and Alternate No. 2 except the lighting equipment specified was to maintain a 30 footcandle lighting level across the field; and WHEREAS , the Municipal Engineer by letter dated June 4, 2013 determined the least expensive manner to provide lighting for the Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field was for the Township of West Orange to supply equipment as manufactured by Musco Sports Lighting, LLC and purchased through a National Cooperative Purchasing Network known as the Keystone Purchasing Nerwork (KPN); and WHEREAS , the same letter recommends providing a maintained lighting level of 50 footcandles which meet or exceed the minimum lighting requirements for lacrosse, football and soccer; and
