The program has seen a 150% increase in participants since 2017 requiring increased supervision, uniforms and equipment. Additionally, the program has evolved from an 8 week program beginning in April to a 14 week program running from early March to mid-June. Recreation Department Winter Season Programs 2018-2022 Proposed Summer 2022 - Spring 2027 Range Registration fees for the 2nd/3rd Grade Pee Wee Basketball program go towards equipment, professional instructors and High School students to serve as counselors/mentors. This program has longer sessions than K-1 Pee Wee program. Fees from these events go towards green fees, cart fees, bag lunch at check in,snacks and refreshments during the round, prizes and a dinner following the round. The dinner was traditionally held at the West Orange Elks. Due to COVID, the 2020 and 2021 events were held completely at the course resulting in increased costs, which we were able to be absorbed at the time. Dinner Sites for 2022 TBD This program is conducted in partnership with a professional skateboard instruction company. Registratoin fee is what the program cost is per child from the vendor. Program fee is determiend by the number of sessions. All proceeds are paid back to the program staff. The program was traditionally held indoors, which led to the cancellation of the 2021 sessions. Spring 2022 session will not be offered as instructor is a head coach of a WOHS Varsity spring sport which will be operationg at a full schedule this season.
