LEPORE Director, Municipal Engineer April 18, 2022 Mayor and Township Council Municipal Building 66 Main Street West Orange, New Jersey 07052 RE: CONTRACT AWARD STREET IMPROVEMENTS, 2020, PHASE TIT Mayor Parisi, Council President McCartney and Council Members: Pursuant to the advertisement in the West Orange Chronicle on Thursday, March 24, 2022, the Township received nine bids for the project Street Improvements, 2020, Phase III on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The work will consist of the milling and resurfacing of 15 streets or parts thereof, curb replacement, sidewalk improvements and new driveway aprons at various streets. The summary of the ten bids is attached as well as a list of the streets included in this contract. Reggio Construction, Inc., 416 E. Central Blvd, Palisades Park, NJ 07650 submitted the lowest bid of $1,806,531.81. This firm has performed numerous similar projects for the Township, and their work is very good. I therefore recommend awarding this project in the amount of $1,806,531.81 to Reggio Construction, Inc.
