GENERAL INFORMATION CME Associates is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm dedicated to providing a high quality of professional services in a cost-effective and timely manner. Three professionals with over sixty years of collective experience established CME Associates in 1983. In 1997 CME Associates acquired the staff of Berson Ackermann Associates, another respected civil engineering and surveying firm with substantial experience. In 2002, CME Associates acquired Icon Engineering, an environmental engineering firm specializing in Brownfield Redevelopment. In 2007, CME Associates acquired EGS Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in providing geotechnical services. In 2021, CME Associates aquired Guzzi Engineering, a civil engineering and surveying firm from South Jersey. Currently, CME Associates provides a complete range of Environmental, Geotechnical, Engineering, Surveying and Planning services and has represented both the public and private sectors on a wide range of projects and, specifically, projects relating to the environment, including water and wastewater treatment facilities and pipelines; wastewater and potable water master plans; water resources and treatment, storage and conveyance facilities; surface and groundwater monitoring; landfills; recycling facilities implementation plans; environmental impact statements; highway and roadway construction; large residential and commercial development projects, and major capital construction projects. CME possesses a network of computers and supporting hardware and software packages to allow us to manage our word processing, database, spreadsheets and computer aided design and drafting (CADD) data. This network has enabled us to expedite and enhance our work product. The wide array of projects we've completed utilizing Auto CAD benefits our clients in the savings such technology offers. CME has Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) receivers that enable us to establish a geodetic quality control network (Static Surveying techniques) in either of the two published horizontal and vertical networks (NAD 1927 or 1983, NGVD 1929 or 1988), Geographic Coordinates (Latitudes and Longitudes) or a local defined network, as necessary. Through the use of our GPS system, we are also able to efficiently collect data of topographic features. CME is also a leader in Geographic Information System (GIS) Services. By utilizing the latest in GIS technology we assure our clients a state-of-the-art effective and efficient solution to their needs. We use various software solutions to complete a quality program. CME encourages our clients to integrate the expertise of their own personnel into the GIS effort creating a successful long-term solution for information needs. CME Associates’ approach to properly addressing a client's requirements is based on: maintaining sensitivity to social and legal issues; a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and permitting requirements; an awareness of established and developing technologies; and an appreciation of economic constraints. The key to efficient project resolution and regulatory and permitting compliance is a thorough understanding of both the letter and spirit of the regulations, and the manner in which they are enforced. We have developed positions of mutual respect and sound working relationships with various bureaus of the New Jersey Departments of Environmental Protection, Transportation, Community Affairs and other regulatory agencies. These working relationships enhance our ability to respond to our clients’ needs as the environment, and the associated regulations pertaining thereto, grow increasingly complex.
