SECTION 1 Scope of Services / Fee Schedule Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. understands that the Township of West Orange requires engineering services necessary for the 2022 Street Improvements Phase 1. Throughout the firm’s 56-year history, we have provided capital improvement project design to dozens of New Jersey municipalities. We have also served as the municipal engineer for various municipalities throughout the firm's existence. We are very experienced in providing road reconstruction design, plans, specifications and contract documents of a professional nature in a cost effective and timely manner. We recommend commencing our work with a start-up meeting. This will allow us to understand your concerns and can advance the project in an expeditious manner. Professional services will include base map preparation, engineering design, and the preparation of construction plans suitable for the public bid. SCOPE OF SERVICES DESIGN SERVICES A. Base Mapping dl Utilizing Township tax maps and state aerial mapping as a base, and followed by obtaining field measurements, an accurate map of existing conditions will be prepared for each roadway to assure adequate data for design of the required improvements. Using the base information and field information, the plans will depict the location of existing driveways, curbs and sidewalk, storm sewer structures, and other utilities. B. Design and Contract Documents 1. Before commencing the design, we will meet with you to review the specific requirements, including reviewing each street in the field. We will coordinate our efforts with your Department throughout the project. We will prepare engineering plans for each street at an anticipated scale of 1” = 30° utilizing the base mapping prepared under Task A. All design criteria will comply with the current NIDOT and MUTCD specifications. We will prepare a complete set of specifications. A final Engineer’s Estimate of Construction will also be prepared. We will prepare and submit twenty (20) sets of Contract Documents. ASSUMPTIONS Plans will be in a similar format and content as the West Orange 2021 Street Improvements Project Phase | Project. ADA ramps will be shown on the 1” = 30’ Construction Plan. Excludes detailing of ADA ramp grades.

SECTION 2 Personnel Assignments For this project, GPI will perform the work in its entirety. No sub-consultants will be needed. All work will be done entirely within GPI’s Engineering and Surveying Departments Muhammed S. Assal, PE, CME, Project Manager, will be responsible for the overall design, contract adherence, and overall project supervision. Mr. Assal is quite familiar with the Township of West Orange, having worked on several other Township projects in recent years. He will be assisted by Engineering Department staff members Michael E. Pirog, EIT, Designer and Ryan Mangano EIT Designer. Quality Assurance-Quality Control (QAQC) will be performed by Andrew Cangiano, PE, CME, Director of Engineering — Morris Plains Office.
