Successful organic recycling depends on maintaining best practices, so the end products are attractive and sought after in the marketplace. That is the approach NCRWP follows at its facilities, whether owned or managed. NCRWP's staff includes certified compost operators, weigh masters and experienced equipment operators and truck drivers, most of whom have been with the company for over fifteen (15) years. It is imperative that the composting environment be maintained at optimum levels and that any deviation to the composting conditions be addressed and corrected immediately. All equipment and site activity will have designated supervisors monitoring facility conditions, including maintaining compliance with the NJDEP rules and regulations, monitoring any potential negative impacts to the windrows. Leachate runoff, vector control, compliance with safety procedures, equipment condition and maintenance, and generally maintaining a safe working environment are all factors that NCRWP will monitor for a successful compost operation. The supervisor will also keep a daily lag of inbound and outbound materials and document activities for work performed. Equipment maintenance will be the responsibility of the equipment manager. The West Orange facility has specific needs and NCRWP will identify any shortfalls in those operations and work to correct the deficiency to improve recycling goals. That also includes the Class A operation at the West Orange Facility. Class A Recycling/ Convenience Center: NCRWP has been involved with recycling Class A recyclables for over twenty (20) years. It started with paper, cardboard, plastic, and glass and has expanded to many other commodities such as tires, metal, electronics etc. Since NCRWP has been managing the West Orange convenience center, with the support from the mayor and council it has become the recycling hub for the residents to recycle paper, metal, tires comingle plastic and glass, and electronics in a safe manner. All marketing of the commodities is performed in-house with NCRWP equipment and personnel. NCRWP wants to make it an easy and safe visit for all residents by keeping staff at the facility to
e manner. All marketing of the commodities is performed in-house with NCRWP equipment and personnel. NCRWP wants to make it an easy and safe visit for all residents by keeping staff at the facility to assist residents in placing all recyclables in the correct containers. This will create an efficient and proper recycling experience which in turn gives the township the highest recycling tonnage to report to the state and maximize the tonnage grants. It is extremely important to give residents a positive experience at the convenience center to increase the mandated recycling the state has implemented. NCRWP is looking to expand the convenience center to recycle additional non-putrescible material hence increasing West Orange's recycling percentage. Attached is a list of public and private entities that NCRWP provides the recycling for Class A, B and C materials:
