187-25 August 12, 2025 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, on Tuesday, August 05, 2025 the Township received bids for the contract “2025- 2026 Snow Plowing, Salting, Removal and Snow Hauling” from two contractors: Grabowski Construction, Inc. of 770 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ and Shauger Property Services, Inc. of 429 Dodd Street, East Orange, NJ; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the following award of contracts per the attached Schedule A; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the rejection and rebidding of the following contract as per the attached Schedule A; and WHEREAS, funding for this service is available in the 2025 operating budget and will be available in the 2026 operating budget; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that a contract be awarded for plowing and salting routes to Grabowski Construction of West Orange, NJ and usage of equipment as per the attached Schedule A with a not to exceed $175,000.00 and that plowing and salting routes be awarded to Shauger Property Services, Inc. of East Orange, NJ as per the attached Schedule A with a not to exceed $50,000.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council authorizes the Purchasing Agent to rebid as per attached Scheduled A. ______________________________ ______________________________ Karen J.
