REIMER, LLA, RLA Landscape Architecture Professional Qualifications Bill Reimer is the Director of Landscape Architecture responsible for the design and oversight of all landscape architecture projects and services and serves as project manager for site planning and site engineering projects. With extensive experience in landscape architecture, site development, and construction management, Bill has completed the design, planning, and construction management for numerous state, commercial, and institutional projects for clients that include the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He has designed parks, plazas, and large-scale site plans for both residential and commercial developments. Professional Experience West Orange Streetscape, West Orange NJ – Landscape Architect/Lead Designer for the West Orange Streetscape project. The improvements to the downtown were part of a $2.2M grant that was awarded to the Township through the Federal Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2005. Design vocabulary boards were created and presented to the public for review and comment. The design vocabulary boards became the backbone for the aesthetic elements of the project. The design includes spaces for community gathering, and educational and recreational activities for nearby schools. The park also includes a rain garden and pervious pavements, which will help reduce pressures on the existing stormwater infrastructure. Maywood Avenue Wetland Restoration, Maywood, NJ – Project manager and lead designer for the project. Matrix will be providing a monitoring report of the site for NJDEP for the next five years to ensure the success of the installed plant material. Neilson Street Park, New Brunswick, NJ – Project manager and lead Designer for this new downtown park for the city. Public outreach was performed to gather input on what the community wanted to see in the park spaces. The $3 million new park will include a dog park, a custom slide, tiered gathering spaces to provide multiple programming opportunities at the park and traffic calming to allow for safe access to the park from the surrounding communities. Feaster and Pittman Parks, New Brunswick, NJ – Project manager and lead Designer for the reconstruction of the parks. Public outreach was performed to gather input on what the community wanted to see in the park spaces. The $4 million new park includes a children’s playground for the adjacent school, outdoor classroom, two basketball courts, outdoor exercise area, open plaza spaces, outdoor game tables, community gardens, spray park, and Amphitheater for community activity space.
