SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make such awards as may be in its best interest. 2. For storm events the contractor shall perform all sidewalk, crosswalk, bus stop clearing and salting when snow begins to accumulate. 3. The contractor. will be called in by the Superintendent of Public Works or his duly authorized representative. Usually there will be a time set for each storm but if there is an emergency situation, the contractor must be on site within one hour of telephone notification by Superintendent of oo Public Works. . a. 4, Snow removal during work and school hours will need to be-consistent-in— order to keep pedestrians safe. (See attached lists and maps). 5. Sidewalk, bus stop and crosswalk clearing shall be performed such that no more than 3 Inches of snow is allowed to accumulate at any time on the traveled way and/or on any sidewalks, 6. For evening or nighttime winter storm events (after 5:00 p.m.) and for cleanup after daytime storms, the contractor shall perform sidewalk, bus | stop, and crosswalk clearing such that all work Is completed as so unobstructed pedestrian traffic and buildings are ready to open by 7:00 a.m. on the morning following the storm. Snow disposal locations will be identified by the Township if needed in larger storm events. 7. For bid purposes the Township has been divided into zones, Each zone has a list of sidewalks, bus stops, and crosswalks along with a map marked with their location as shown in Appendix A. 53
8. Any damage will be the contractor's responsibility to repair as soon as possible or no later than May 1°, 2026, and if awarded for 2027 and 2028. ALL INFORMATION FOR SIDEWALKS, PATHS, CROSSWALKS, BUS STOPS AND SHELTERS AND MAPS ARE LISTED. SEPARATELY AS APPENDIX A 54
