The cost of services shall be a complete design and bid package including cost estimates, plans and specifications (twenty copies each} for bidding purposes, detour plans, construction stakeout and cut sheets. This project will be fully funded by - Township of. West Orange. “All plans, specifications and bid documents shall be in conformance with the’ {atest New Jersey Department of ‘Transportation specifications, and, shall be submitted to our office for review prior to finalizing contract documents. Proposals shall be on‘a’ umd sum, basis. Hourly sates shall be submitted with ali proposal for any additional work. Design will consist of utilizing aetial orthophoto maps for preparation of project base maps, A. one+site ‘visit will be conducted to verify and supplement planimetric elements such as roads, inlets, and other -features for the preparation of plans and specification for the milling and resurfacing of the roadways, It is the intent of this office to advertise for bids upon availability of funds from the Township in Winter/Spring 2025. 122-24 April 9, 2024 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes Professional Engineering Services for the Various Street Improvements, Phase IT; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated March 15, 2024 for these professiona! design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from four professional engineering and land surveying firms; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc,, responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. have performed similar work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated April 2, 2024 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to, Greenman-Pedergon, Inc., 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, NJ. 07950 for Professional Engineering Services associated with the Vatious Street Improvements, Phase Il; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2024; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Greenman- Pederson, lne.; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Greenman-Pederson, Inc, to provide professional eugincering services for Various Street Improvements, Phase II ia the amount of $23,285.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute.
