Continental Soldier Park Field Project Township of Mahwah, New Jersey (Bergen County) CLIENT Township of Mahwah 475 Corporate Drive Mahwah, NJ 07430 Boswell was engaged by the Township of Mahwah to provide Site/Civil Engineering services for their planned rehabilitation of the athletic fields at the Continental Soldier Park. CONTACT Benjamiin Kezmarsky Business Administrator 201-529-5757 The project featured a $1.4 million artificial turf replacement that utilized the same field footprint, but modified the uses and sports that could be played on the surface. The complex now allows for football, soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse on the same facility. The previous facility had natural clay/sand infields that suffered from drainage problems, with the spring rains often rendering the fields unusable for periods of time. The improvements added synthetic turf to the infield areas as well to address this issue. The renovations also included new dugouts for the ball fields and new tension netting to provide increased protection of property and pedestrians. CONSTRUCTION COST $1.4 million COMPLETION DATE 2020 DISCIPLINES INCLUDED Site/Civil Construction Management Survey
