lp revitalize this aging monument in downtown Trenton. The monument is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located atop an 18th century archaeological site, so our team needed to carefully consider effects on both above and below-ground historic resources. Our landscape architects approached the project using a light touch and focused on plantings that would require only shallow installation. By minimizing potential impacts to the monument, the archaeological site and surrounding historic districts, the team was able to design around all of the issues. In December our team won unconditional approval from the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office for this project. Village of Westbury, Westbury Downtown Revitalization – Westbury, NY: Streetscape improvement landscape and lighting design for two main roadways through downtown Westbury. Hardscape improvements including new cast iron tree pits and planter boxes were proposed to beautify the Village’s business district. www.psands.com
