Craft: Laborer - Building COMMENTS/NOTES CLASS A: Specialist laborer including mason tender or concrete pour crew; scaffold builder (scaffolds up to 14 feet in height); operator of forklifts, Bobcats (or equivalent machinery), jack hammers, tampers, motorized tampers and compactors, vibrators, street cleaning machines, hydro demolition equipment, riding motor buggies, conveyors, burners; and nozzlemen on gunite work. CLASS B: Basic laborer - includes all laborer work not listed in Class A or Class C. CLASS C: Janitorial-type light clean-up work associated with the TURNOVER of a project, or part of a project, to the owner, All other clean-up work is Class B. Some examples are installing interior doors, sheet rock, hooking up appliances, installing light fixtures, installing railing systems, etc. Please note where local building codes require that certain work be performed under the supervision of a licensed tradesman (i.e. Plumber, Electrician, etc.) Laborers shall work under such supervision. RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION- All residential construction (not commercial), single-family, stand-alone duplex houses, townhouses and multi-family buildings of not more than four (4) floors. Each housing unit must be fully and independently functional; each housing unit must have its own kitchen and bathroom. The definition includes all incidental items such as site work, parking areas, utilities, streets and sidewalks. Please note the construction must be Residential in nature. A First Floor at or below grade may contain commercial space not to exceed 50% square footage of the floor; at least 50% of the First Floor must contain living accommodations or related nonresidential uses (e.g. laundry space, tecreation/hobby rooms, and/or corridor space). Basement stories below grade used for storage, parking, mechanical systems/equipment, etc., are considered basement stories which are not used in determining the building's height.
