Show all pages30. 31. 32. v) The Contractor is responsible for coordinating all work with the Township Police Department. vi) During non-working hours, trenches shall not be left open and contractor's equipment shall not be parked in the roadway, driveways or the sidewalk area or any other area which will obstruct vehicular or pedestrian traffic. vii) Atall times the Contractor shall maintain access to all businesses and residences within the project limits. The Contractor shall coordinate with the property owners and/or tenants to ensure vehicles are not stranded in driveways or parking lots while aprons are being poured and curing. viii) | While Uniformed Officers are not anticipated, the Contractor is still responsible to coordinate all work with the West Orange Police Department. UTILITIES Prior to the start of the construction, the contractor shall have all underground utilities located and physically marked out within the limits of the project (call 1-800-272-1000). The contractor shall provide test holes in areas of possible conflict to verify the depth and location of the utility. Payment shall be made for this item. No separate payment shall be made for delays that may be necessary to relocate utilities or the proposes location of drainage structures. ROADWAY ACCESS DURING CONSTRUCTION: The contractor shall perform only the amount of work which can be completed the same day. The entire roadway shall be opened to traffic after work hours. Temporary pavement shall be placed in construction areas to provide a smooth, safe surface for vehicular traffic. The cost for temporary pavement shall be included in the unit in the unit price bid for various roadway reconstruction items. Steel plates may be used, at the approval of the Engineer. No separate payment shall be made for steel plates. PUBLIC WORK CERTIFIED PAYROLL RECORD SUBMIT ONLINE STARTED AUG. 15, 2024 The New Jersey Department of Labor announced that Public Works Contractors are required to report certified payroll records online, via New Jersey Wage Hub since August 15, 2024.
