Show all pagesTownship shall not be liable for any monetary damages, and the remedy shall be limited to specific performance of the undertaking. SECTION 11. The Township covenants to maintain the exclusion from gross income under Section 103(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, of the interest on all bonds and notes issued on a tax-exempt basis under this bond ordinance. SECTION 12. This bond ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days after the first publication of the notice of final adoption of this bond ordinance, as provided by the Local Bond. The Council President stated that this is the scheduled time for the public hearing and asked the Clerk to read the ordinance by title only. The Council President asked if there was anyone who wished to be heard. There was no one that wished to be heard and the public hearing on this Ordinance was closed. On motion made by Councilwoman Ghebremicael and seconded by Councilwoman Scarpa, the above referenced ordinance was passed on second and final reading. All members present voting “Aye.” Ord. 2919-25 On motion made by Councilwoman Rudin and seconded by Councilwoman Ghebremicael, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 5, Sections 32,3 And 32.8 Of The Revised General Ordinances Of The Township Of West Orange (Police-Requesting Towing And Storage Services), was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on May 20, 2025. All members present voting “Aye.” Ord. 2920-25-REMOVED Ord, 2921-25 On motion made by Councilwoman Rudin and seconded by Councilwoman Ghebremicael, Bond Ordinance Providing For Various 2025 Capital Acquisitions And Improvements, By And In The Township Of West Orange, In The County Of Essex, State Of New Jersey, Appropriating $635,000 Therefor And Authorizing The Issuance Of $605,600 Bonds Or Notes Of The Township To Finance 13
