327-24 December 10, 2024 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, that the contract for 2024 TREE PLANTING AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS in the Township of West Orange be awarded to: Frank Galbraith & Son Excavation and Demolition, LLC 831 Raritan Rd Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 who submitted the lowest responsive bid for supplying 248 trees of 18 different species along with 57 root barriers. Along with all the requirements of the Bid Specifications in the amount of $142,130.00; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Certified Checks and/or Bid Bonds of all except the lowest responsive bidder be forthwith returned. 337-24 December 10, 2024 RESOLUTION To authorize the purchase of L5R Plate Readers through the New Jersey State Contract 17-FLEET-00716 WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (Township) Police Department has received a grant from the Attorney General’s office and the Essex County Prosecutor’s office in the amount of $63,513.00 WHEREAS, license plate readers integral part of law enforcement’s ability to collect data quickly will be used at the intersection of Eagle Rock Avenue and Prospect Avenue; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services, enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality thereof; and WHEREAS, the Township may use NJ State Contact 17-Fleet-00716 to purchase under camera equipment through Gold Type Business Machines, Inc. (GTBM) 351 Paterson Ave., East Rutherford, NJ 07073 (see attached Exhibit “A”) NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange who hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township to issue and execute a Purchase Order for the total amount of not to exceed $54,113.60 to GTBM with funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer.
