100-25 March 25, 2025 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER FROM CME ASSOCIATES FOR REMEDIATION SERVICES AT 25 LAKESIDE AVENUE (DPW BUILDING) WHEREAS, by Resolution 350-23 on October 10, 2023 attached herein as Exhibit “A”, the Township Council approved a contract for Professional Environmental and Licensed Site Remediation Services with CME Associates (CME) of Monmouth Junction, N.J. for the DPW Building located at 25 Lakeside Avenue; and WHEREAS, a recent groundwater analysis at the site identified an additional Area of Concern (AOC) at the Salt Dome area of the property; and WHEREAS, the additional work required to investigate this new AOC is not included in the original contract; and WHEREAS, the additional work required to investigate the AOC requires installation of two new monitoring wells and conducting additional groundwater testing at up to ten locations on site; and NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Township accepts the Change Order for this additional work from CME attached herein as Exhibit “B,” not to exceed $19,700.00 to complete the scope of work; AND FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be made available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.
