Services included the coordinating the site layout with the project architect and the design of grading and stormwater management improvements including green infrastructure BMPs to control stormwater runoff from the redeveloped portions of the park. Rifle Camp Park Amphitheater Replacement Project – Passaic, NJ: Provided civil engineering support to the Landscape Architect for the preparation of construction plans for the replacement of an exiting amphitheater at the Passaic County Park. The scope of work included the grading design of the site to provide stadium type of seating, drainage design, and ADA parking stall and amphitheater access driveway design. The amphitheater was designed so as to be coordinated with the existing park pedestrian network and provides a space that will be utilized by the surrounding neighborhood for cultural events, performances, and community gatherings. www.psands.com Gill St. Bernard’s, Synthetic Turf Field – Peapack-Gladstone, NJ*: Prepared construction plans for the construction of a synthetic turf field for the school. The project included the removal of the existing natural turf field within a track and the installation of a synthetic turf field. The design included preparation of field layout plans, grading, a drainage plan that utilized existing stormwater management infrastructure including an existing above ground detention basin that required analysis and alterations in order to meet the NJDEP Stormwater and borough ordinance stormwater requirements. All permits to construct the field, including a soil erosion and sediment control plan certification were obtained. We designed landscape restoration for the approach right-ofway as well as the Francis Lewis Park playground and athletic courts which were impacted by the approach ramp reconstruction. Edison Housing Authority Tennis and Basketball Court Improvements – Edison, NJ: PS&S provided its Landscape Architecture services to Edison Housing Authority for the design of new tennis and basketball courts located adjacent to the Authority’s administrative offices. Daniel led the Landscape Architecture team in the development of construction bid documents for new tennis and basketball courts, associated site furnishings, and upgraded existing court lighting. Our team supported EHA with the bid support, construction administration and grant funding compliance. The project was completed in July 2024. Riverwalk Losee Park, Tarrytown, NY: Landscape Architect. The RiverWalk Extension at Losee Park is a pivotal addition to a larger network of interconnected public pathways along the Hudson River in Westchester County, NY. The design integrates innovative stormwater management solutions and living shoreline elements, featuring a vibrant mix of native rain gardens and live stake plantings. Key elements include the restoration of eroded riverside soil, an eight-foot-wide pathway, plaza overlooks, waterfront railings, lighting, site amenities, and pavements that seamlessly extend the aesthetic of the RiverWalk corridor. Daniel contributed to the project from conceptual design through the final construction documents and provided ongoing construction support, including oversight of SWPPP inspections.

Passaic County, Rifle Camp Park Amphitheater Improvements – Woodland Park, NJ: Redesign of an existing amphitheater within a 225-acre Passaic County Park. Coordinated the specification of the canopy structure and stage design and provided landscape and lighting plans for the areas of improvement. Trenton Battle Monument – Trenton, NJ: PS&S landscape architects, cultural resources staff and survey team recently supported R. A Sebring Architects in designing and gaining approvals for a program of plantings and other improvements to help revitalize this aging monument in downtown Trenton. The monument is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located atop an 18th century archaeological site, so our team needed to

Our landscape architects approached the project using a light touch and focused on plantings that would require only shallow installation. By minimizing potential impacts to the monument, the archaeological site and surrounding historic districts, the team was able to design around all of the issues. In December our team won unconditional approval from the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office for this project. Village of Westbury, Westbury Downtown Revitalization – Westbury, NY: Streetscape improvement landscape and lighting design for two main roadways through downtown Westbury. Hardscape improvements including new cast iron tree pits and planter boxes were proposed to beautify the Village’s business district. www.psands.com

Kapferer, PE Senior Project Engineer Site Civil Engineering & Landscape Architecture Education Lehigh University: B.S., Civil Engineering/1998 Credentials Professional Engineer: New Jersey and Pennsylvania Ms. Kapferer has nearly 20 years of regulatory, design, and management experience from her work on a variety of civil engineering projects including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain regulations compliance, stormwater design, environmental permitting, municipal consulting, and construction management for public agencies. She served for more than 10 years as a consulting engineer for several municipalities in Pennsylvania, where she performed land use plan reviews and worked with municipal clients to find solutions to floodplain and stormwater issues and comply with permit requirements. She has performed the following design tasks: stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, utility design and layout, culvert sizing, ADA ramps, parks layout and site grading. More recently, she performed construction inspection and administration on a 4-lane highway bridge replacement project over a railroad in northern New Jersey, ensuring that the construction adhered to contract documents and met state and federal funding requirements and she completed the hydrologic and hydraulic analysis in support of the preliminary engineering phase on a 13-mile highway widening project in southern New Jersey. Municipal Consulting – Performed consulting engineering for several municipalities in Lancaster and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania. Brad Joshnick, PLS Vice President Survey Services Education Credentials As a Director of Surveying, Mr. Joshnick is responsible for execution and supervision of surveying projects including boundary surveys for residential and commercial development, ALTA/ACSM Surveys, right-of-way acquisition, GIS applications, control for aerial photography, topographic and wetlands survey. He has substantial experience in subdivision design and layout, deed research, and map filing laws.
