70-25 February 11, 2025 RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT F O R T R A I N I N G FOR THE WEST ORANGE FIRE DEPARTMENT W H E R E A S , t h e T o w n s h i p o f West O r a n g e F i r e D e p a r t m e n t h a s r e q u e s t e d t h e s e r v i c e s of a Company to perform training for its Personnel to keep the department operating efficiently; and W H E R E A S , T h e West O r a n g e F i r e D e p a r t m e n t ( W O F D ) r e c e i v e d f u n d i n g f r o m t h e FEMA FY2023 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (EMW-2023-FG-09214) for a total of $74,490 .00 plus a 10% match of $7449.00 for high priority training to ensure c o m p l i a n c e w i t h n u m e r o u s NFPA a n d N J D e p a r t m e n t o f H e a l t h s t a n d a r d s . T h e d i v e r s e and challenging emergencies that firefighters respond to necessitate varied forms of training, especially with disciplines such as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for which WOFD is responsible; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., the Purchasing Agent advertised for bids and received one submission at the date and time posted; and W H E R E A S , t h e b i d s u b m i t t e d w a s r e v i e w e d b y t h e West O r a n g e F i r e D e p a r t m e n t a n d the Purchasing Agent and was found to be both responsible and responsive to the specifications and budget appropriated; and WHEREAS, the following proposal has been submitted by: Rescue Products International, Inc 73 Mt.
